Build the evidence
behind cross-border trade.

Crossgates is developing a platform for business preparation and evidence review. Suppliers organise their records with STIV; buyers assess the reviewed information; institutions can scope preparation programmes. Our next phase is about proving repeat use and paid demand.

THE INVESTMENT CASE, IN PLAIN LANGUAGE

One business record.
Three customer needs.

The proposed commercial opportunity is to make business information easier to prepare, review and use. Initial regional focus: Kenya, Uganda, Tanzania, Rwanda and Ethiopia.

Why a supplier would use it

Details

To organise product and business information, resolve evidence gaps and prepare a clearer file for buyer conversations.

Why a buyer would use it

Details

To understand a supplier’s record, the checks performed and the questions still requiring attention.

Why an institution would use it

Details

To scope and track preparation across a cohort, with agreed baselines, outputs and reporting.

What investment must prove

Details

Willingness to pay, delivery cost, review quality, repeat use and a sustainable update or renewal model. Market focus and proposed services are not contracted revenue.

COMMERCIAL FOCUS - FOR VALIDATION

Who pays, and for what?

Institutions: proposed lead route

Details

A programme sponsor funds a defined cohort: baseline records, preparation support, reviews and progress reporting.

Test: a paid programme, delivery cost and renewal demand.

Suppliers: individual service

Details

A business pays for a written preparation and review package, with issuance determined by evidence.

Test: willingness to pay, turnaround and updates.

Buyers: scoped assessment

Details

A buyer commissions an agreed review of a supplier-authorised record against a purchasing question.

Test: usefulness in a real buying decision and repeat use.

This is a proposed sequence for commercial validation, not a claim of paying customers or contracted revenue. Final priorities depend on customer evidence and delivery capacity.

BUILDING A DEFENSIBLE BUSINESS

Earn trust through work that can be checked.

Crossgates aims to combine structured supplier records, a consistent review process and reusable, permissioned trade information.

Review discipline

Details

Document sources, review decisions, dates and unresolved gaps consistently.

Useful history

Details

Maintain authorised updates and a clear record of changes instead of restarting each assessment.

Repeat adoption

Details

Demonstrate that suppliers, buyers and programmes return because the record saves useful work.
